Food Recovery at the Bresnahan School

Sir the Pot Food Recovery

Though there is no food being harvest from our gardens we are still hard at work digging into our local food system to better understand how we can eliminate waste and connect the excess to our neighbors. Our Stir the Pot program will be picking up excess food from the Bresnahan School in Newburyport every Friday and delivering it to food pantries and housing communities around the North Shore. We made our first pick up last Friday - February 12th and delivered to the YWCA and the Kelleher Park Community Cupboard. It was great timing because the following week was school vacation so we were able deliver food to families that are used to their kids eating lunch at school.  Can't wait for our next trip!
